Belgium's financial watchdog, FSMA, has issued a warning about the unlicensed activities of cryptocurrency platforms offering investments in the country without complying with Belgian financial legislation.
Based on its investigation, the FSMA said this fraudulent scheme often involved these companies offering investment contracts and asking their interested investors to deposit their money into a bank account or through other methods, while promising little or no financial risk.
